Mary is a longtime volunteer brand ambassador and partner of SEP, a certified B-Corporation. SEP is a luxury fashion and lifestyle business with a social impact focus and it was the first Jordanian private company to set up in the Jerash “Gaza” Camp in Jordan in 2013. SEP works with hundreds of embroidery artists who happen to be refugees. The Founder and CEO of SEP is a visionary entrepreneur, Roberta Ventura, who has devoted her life to the mission underpinning SEP.
On World Refugee Day 2023, Mary moderated a beautiful event featuring photography of the SEP artists.
Mary is a volunteer brand ambassador and advisor to Lumeyo a social enterprise that supports Bedouin women in Wadi Rum, Petra and Aqaba, who upcycle yarn to create beautiful bags and other items. Lumeyo also works with Syrian and Iraqi refugees for other elements of the creations. The designs are inspired by Bedouin tradition resulting in a unique product with an authentic story. Lumeyo’s Founder and CEO is a tenacious social entrepreneur with never ending creativity, Sandra Jelly.
