17 Ventures was inspired by the UN Sustainable Development Goals and is focused on impact economies. Wearing this hat, Mary supports several social entrepreneurs and manages an impact portfolio. Mary was also part of the original government task-force responsible for defining a legal framework for social enterprises in Jordan.  Mary is an angel investor with Beyond Capital which was created to bridge the entrepreneurial ecosystem and the investment community in Jordan. She has consulted on World Bank projects to support female entrepreneurs and women-owned businesses. Mary has spoken at the GIIN on refugee lens investing, and at the GSG on blended finance and informal settlements among other global impact-related events. She has worked with a broad stakeholder group on creating a national advisory board for impact investment for Jordan.
